Hello, my name is Terrance I’ve been going to ACLC since 6th grade.  Once I came to ACLC, I realized it was not like the other public schools I attended. Being at ACLC for 6 years seems like a very long time for me. As a learner, I witnessed the community of ACLC change a lot over the years. For example new locations, rules, teachers and a lot more.  These changes allowed me grow socially and expanded my learning capability.  The facilitators were always available to assist me with my homework. They had office hours set aside for learners that needed help.  I also was able to experience ACLC’s JC system.  This type of judical system is rarely used in other schools, however, I find it helpful, and it prepares you for the real world.

The other parts I like about ACLC are the free periods and that it's a small school.  The free periods allow you time to do any unfinished homework for other classes or down time to prepare your mind for your next class.  Lastly, being a smaller school allows you to know practically all the  people at your school.  We also have the same teachers’ so each teacher knows you because they are there with you for a long time.  This is very helpful because they know you a little bit better.  They know I work hard to get my homework done, get it in on time and never give up.  They also know I always love to laugh and enjoy funny jokes.

The personal quality I identify the most with is responsibility.  I feel that I'm responsible because at school I’m always on task and doing my work and putting a lot of  time in my work. And at home I’m always responsible and hardworking to get towards my goal.  My goal is to have a good life and to get in a good trade that is really fun and something that I can make a living off. At work I have to be responsible to do my job and not to mess up on the measuring of the metals or measuring the length for one side to the other. The most important thing is to be responsible when welding is to make sure not to burn holes in the metal.

The new basics skills I identify the most with is listening. I feel that listening is my strength because I can listen and see what you see, but I can think of it a different way than other people can. My listening skills are important because for my new job, I’m dealing with cutting metal and welding metal together to make the project. y My listening skills are on point because if I mess up, I can make a custom project that cost 100 dollars but if i mess up it could cost up to 400 to 500 dollars so listening is a big thing for me for school and at home. Another thing I identify  that was most fitness and health.I feel that I'm healthy and fit because i am always a person that walks to a lot of places and got to the gym like 2 times a week now because before i used to not go to the gym or walk a lot.

The thinking and reasoning skills I identify the most with is the problem-solving. I feel that with my problem-solving skills, I have to figure out the problem in school and sometimes out of school like at home or the job that I work at. At school sometimes I need more time so I can try to get there the problem if it’s confusing to me or too hard. At work and home i have to trouble solving a lot thing for life but for work i have to troubleshoot the problem or a solution to fix what we did wrong with the job.  Sometimes when I am at work at Lens Crafters, I have to use problem solving skills when looking up information about customer prescriptions and orders.  This means I have to sometimes search for information that is not given to me correctly.  This skill allows me to be successful in my job.

The Interpersonal abilities I identify the most is Teaches other New skills Equipment. As an older learner, I help younger learners with their class work if they need help with it. A lot of younger learner and not used to a school like Aclc but I been at Aclc from 6th to 12th grade so I know all the new rules and all the old rule too. So that’s how I help out other learners that are in our community and never went to a school like Aclc. However, at home and work I teach other's new skills. For at home I teach my cousin and friends how to fix on cars or how to fix a iron fence, chain link fence, etc. At the job I work at now I teach people what I've learned about welding or how you can fix a hole in metal.I teach others these new skills because my uncle showed me how. I've been welding for 2 years now so I know a lot about it and it’s a good trade.

The Technology I identify the most  with is Maintaining and Troubleshooting Equipment. I know that I can troubleshoot a lot things like computers and car stuff to solve the problem. So how do I troubleshoot the problem? The first thing I do is I try to figure out what's wrong with the computer and how it’s acting, so I can figure it out. Now with a car, the difference is that when you troubleshoot a car you have to troubleshoot a lot of things like if the engine is acting weird or if the car is getting enough power - things like that. I’ve been working on cars for a long time now. At school I use a lot of technology to troubleshoot the missing assignments, so I can turn them in and get my grade for my classes.

In conclusion, I’ve discussed the pros and cons of Aclc, personal qualities, my view on reasoning and troubleshooting projects. I hope you have a better understanding of who I am.
